Janice Bozeman Obituary

Janice Elaine Robinson Bozeman passed away Friday, February 6, 2015. Janice was born February 13, 1948 in Mexia, Texas to Loyd and Lonnie Wilburn Robinson. She was a beloved wife, daughter, mother and grandmother. She attended grade school at Fair Oaks School, 9th and 10th grade at Mexia High School; and 11th and 12th grade at Groesbeck High School; where she graduated in 1966. Janice married her high school sweetheart, Otis Bozeman; on May 28, 1966 in Groesbeck, Texas. They moved to Fairfield Texas to raise their family. Janice and Otis returned to Mexia in 2002. Janice was an active member of First Baptist Church Mexia and spent her free time loving and spoiling her grandchildren. She was a loving and caring person to all she met. Janice was preceded in death by her father, Loyd Delton Robinson Sr; brothers, James Delton Robinson, Jerry Wayne Robinson, and Loyd Delton “Dell” Robinson Jr.; and sister, Carolyn Sue Cotton. Left to cherish Janice’s memory are her husband, Otis Eldon Bozeman; daughters Stefani Slaughter and husband, Todd of Mexia, Texas and Sherry Crawford and husband, Ronny of La Rue, Texas; two grandchildren, Riley Crawford and Wyatt Crawford; her mother Lonnie Mae Wilburn Robinson of Mexia; and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral Services will be 2:00 p.m., Sunday, February 8, 2015 in Blair-Stubbs Chapel with Rev. Jerry Fulton officiating. Interment will be at the Lost Prairie Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be 5-7 p.m., Saturday at Blair-Stubbs Funeral Home. Pallbearers will be Jimmy Cotton, Jerry Cotton, Cody Cotton, Stephen Brown, Bobby Walters and Jerry Don Shields.
