Memorial services for John Elmo Bennett, Jr. 62 of Streetman will be held on December 29, 2006, at 3 p.m. in First United Methodist Church in Mexia. Rev. Brad Brittain, pastor, will officiate. Mr. Bennett was born on April 8, 1944 in Mexia to John Elmo Bennett, Sr. and Willa Stewart Bennett, and passed away in East Texas Medical Clinic in Fairfield on December 28, 2006. He graduated Mexia High School in 1962 and graduated from SMU. He was a CPA and worked for several years for Cooper and Lybran in Dallas and Houston before returning home for his private practice. He is survived by his wife, Gina Gregson Bennett of Streetman, son and daughter in law, John Bradley and Tammy Bennett of Port Bolivar, Texas; son, James Ryan Campbell of Streetman, and grandchildren: Katie and Shelby Bennett, both of Port Bolivar. .
