Funeral services for Mrs. Johnnie Statham, 87 of Buffalo will be 2 p.m. Monday, March 20, 2006 in Coolidge Cemetery Chapel. Rev. Mark Nelson will officiate with Interment following in Coolidge Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be 6 - 8 p.m. Sunday night at Blair Stubbs Funeral Home in Teague. Mrs. Statham was born on June 22, 1918 in Walker County, Texas to Felix and Lizzie Sadler. She retired from the educational department of the Mexia State School. She lived in Limestone County most of her life, in Groesbeck during the early 1920s And then moved to Coolidge and lived there about 1935 - 1982 when she moved to Buffalo. She was a member of the Bethel Baptist Church in Buffalo. She was preceded in death by her parents, her first husband, Earl Freeman who died In 1976 and her second husband, Ben Statham , who died in 2002. Survivors are three sons: Bruce Freeman and wife, Laretta of Carthage, Brent Freeman and wife, Laurie of England, and Brian Freeman and wife, Patricia, Of Buffalo, 9 grandchildren, and 4 great grandchildren.
