Judith Ann “Judy” Guest, 68, passed away October 6, 2014 at her home in Mexia. Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, October 8, 2014 at Blair-Stubbs Chapel with Rev. Jeff Wright officiating. There will be no graveside service. Visitation with the family will be 5-7 p.m., Tuesday at Blair-Stubbs Funeral Home. Judy was born December 6, 1945 in Jewett, Texas to Freddie and Elizabeth Taylor Howard; the eighth of nine children. She lived in the Mexia most of her life and attended Mexia High School. She spent a number of years as a caregiver for other people and as a Foster Grandparent at the Mexia State Supported Living Center. Judy married Troy Spencer Foley in January 1963; they were blessed with three children, Roy, Troy and Teresa. Their life together was shortened by his death in 1981. In 1983, she married J. O. “Buddy” Guest, III in 1983 and he passed away in 2000. Judy lived her life serving the Lord, loving her family and church family. She was a wonderful mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister; family was everything to her. She thought there was nothing that could compare to her love for her children until those special grandchildren and great-grandchildren came into her life. Her children will remember her for many things, one of which will be for being a great cook. She was an active member of the Northside Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents; husbands, Troy Foley and Buddy Guest; brothers, Eugene and Hughe Howard; and sisters, Lilly Tina Currie, Melva Currie, Cathie Howard. Judy is survived by three children, Roy Lee Foley and wife, Shannon of Teague, Troy Eugene Foley and wife, Betzy of San Diego, CA and Teresa Ann Foley Williams of Mexia; ten grandchildren, Jessica Lewis Murphy, Davie Joe Foley, Hank Foley, Josh Owens, Aaron S. Foley, Christopher Olson, III, Savanah and Samantha Patrick, Cortney and Ervin Williams; four great-grandchildren, Julian Moore, Briley Foley, Stormy Foley-Barker and Summer Foley-Barker; brothers, Charles David and Sidney Joe Howard; sister Nellie M. Horton; and a number of nieces and nephews.
