Kay Ellen Pickett Hawkins, 62, of Colleyville passed away Friday, July 17, 2009, in Fort Worth. Kay was born July, 22, 1946 in Teague to William Thomas and Laura Elizabeth Cain Pickett. She took pride in being a mother and homemaker. She was preceded in death by her father. Kay is survived by her husband, John Hawkins of Colleyville, Mother and step-father Elizabeth and James C. Allsup of Mexia. She is futher survived by her children, Jennifer Holly Walters and husband Dick of Ft. Worth, Ryan Heath Hancock and wife Chrystal of Ft. Worth, Grandchildren, Jenna Charbonnet, Mikel Charbonnet, Gabe Walters and William Walters, Sarah Hancock and Beau Morrison, Brothers, Jimmy R. Pickett and wife Carol Ann of Lake Mexia, Charles Thomas Pickett and wife Kathy Jean of Cotton Gin, Frederick Bruce Pickett and wife Janis of McKinney and Daryl Anthony Pickett and wife Felicia of Teague. Funeral services will be 2 PM Tuesday, July 21, 2009 at the Blair-Stubbs Funeral Home Chapel in Mexia with the Reverend James Ricker officiating. Interment will follow in the Driver cemetery in Freestone County. Visitation with the family will be Monday evening from 6 until 8 at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be Jimmy R. Pickett, Charles Thomas Pickett, Frederick Bruce Pickett, Daryl Anthony Pickett, Willis Pickett and Joe Pickett.
