Lawrence Rayburn “Pops” Plummer, 84, of Frankston passed away April 4, 2013 at his home. Graveside services will be 3PM, Thursday, April 11, 2013 at Plummer Cemetery in Limestone County, Texas. There will be a family visitation beginning at 2 p.m. at the gravesite. Lawrence was born September 24, 1928 in Teague, Texas to George and Eula Belle Jackson Plummer. He was a retired iron worker/welder. Lawrence served his country in the U.S. Army during World War II. He was a man that truly loved to work, always looking for something to do. He enjoyed gardening, hunting and fishing. Lawrence was a loving and devoted father and grandfather; his family was proud of their “Pops”. He was a member of the Church of Christ in Oakwood. He was preceded in death by his parents; and siblings, George and Gary Plummer and Evelyn Walker. Pops is survived by his children, Deborah Raney, Larry David Plummer and Danial R. Plummer and wife, Debra; grandchildren, Matthew Plummer, Chasity Plummer, Stormey Lusk, Scottie, Chris and Raeleigh Plummer; siblings, Darwin Plummer and Jean.
