Linda Kay Jones, 66, passed away May 6, 2015 in Mexia. Graveside services will be 2:00 p.m., Saturday, May 9, 2015 in the Point Enterprise Cemetery with Chaplain Karen Hulsey officiating. Linda was born December 2, 1948 in Georgetown, Texas; her parents were Carl and Evelyn Cox Golden. She had been a resident of the Mexia area for over 50 years. She was a retired LVN. Linda worked for Parkview Regional Hospital, Mexia State School and various nursing homes in this area, completing a nursing career of 40 years. Linda’s family and caring for people was her life. She was the proud mother of four loving daughters, five precious grandchildren and the apple of her eye, a great-grandson. Nothing made her happier than having all her family together, times she treasured. She was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Nita Holder. Linda is survived by her children, Laura Sandifer and husband, Robert of Murphy, Paula Jones, Nancy Jones and Theresa Jones all of Mexia; grandchildren, Garrett Sandifer, Darron Sandifer, Elaine Wilson, Kaylee Graham and Kevin McMahan; great-grandson, Daniel Reid Wilson; former husband, Oliver Jones of Mexia; sister, Carla Wilson and husband, Randy of Mexia; nephew, Bradley Wilson and wife, April and their son, Jesse; and niece, Amber Lehrmann and husband, Brandon and their daughters, Rylee, Braylee and Carlee.
