Lois Lucille Forrester

Lois Lucille Chenault Forrester, 101, of Coolidge, passed away September 8, 2015 in Mexia. Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m., Friday, September 11, 2015 at Blair-Stubbs Chapel with Rev. Fred Sain officiating. Interment will follow in the Prairie Hill Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be 5-7 p.m., Thursday, at Blair-Stubbs Funeral Home. Lois was born May 18, 1914 in Palmer, Texas (Ellis County) to John Wesley and Minnie Chenault. She married Robert Edmond Forrester on November 1, 1932. They were blessed with three children, June, Robert Edmond, Jr. and Kenneth Ray. In addition to being a homemaker for many years, Lois also worked and retired from the Mexia State Supported Living Center. She was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Robert “ED” Forrester and son, Robert “Bobby” Forrester, Jr. Lois is survived by her daughter, June Ruiz of Kettering, Ohio; son, Kenneth Ray Forrester and wife, Linda of Coolidge; seven grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. Pallbearers will be Kevin Forrester, Scott Branham, Conor Bickford, Stell Waldrop, Bubba Reeves and Cyril Farris. Honorary pallbearers will be G.W. Waldrop, Bubba Carter, Tracy Adler, Joe Aguilar and Billy George Waldrop. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Providence Hospice or charity of choice.
