Funeral services for Mrs. Loretta Beldin Blackmon, 75 of Mexia will be held on Saturday, November 18, 2006 at 3 p.m. in Blair - Stubbs Chapel in Mexia. Rev. Ronnie Dabney, pastor of First Baptist Church in Italy will officiate with interment to follow in Wortham Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be 6 - 8 p.m. Friday night at the funeral home and the family will be at 809 Holly Lane in Mexia. Mrs. Blackmon was born August 22, 1931 in Wortham to Samuel Riley and Mary Katherine Lide Beldin and passed away on November 16, 2006 in Parkview Regional Hospital in Mexia. She worked for Mexia Textile Mill as weaver and seamstress and for a furniture factory and plastics company. She was a member of a Protestant church. She is survived by her daughter, Rita Willma Jones and husband, Michael Tinsley Jones Of Axtell; granddaughters: Kelly Rachel Jones Tumas of Rapid City, South Dakota; Great grandchildren: Madison Olivia Tumas and Clayton Alexander Tumas, both of Rapid City, SD and a brother Charles Ray (Chuck) Beldin of Mexia. She was preceded in death by her parents, and brothers and sisters: Buster Beldin, Maurice Beldin, Pete Beldin, John Henry Beldon, Jody Beldin, Mary Dabney, Ruth Sterling and Martha Whitley. Pallbearers will be Lonnie Beldin, Olen Whitley, David Sterling, Bobby Charles Beldin, Bobby Beldin and Jackie Beldin. Honorary pallbearers will be Cliff Beldin and Michael Beldin.
