Minnie Lee Robertson Foley, 87, of Mexia, peacefully went home to her Savior on Friday, March 15, 2013 surrounded by immediate family at Limestone County Medical Center in Groesbeck, TX. Minnie Lee was born in Oletha, TX on July 20, 1925 to Joseph Robertson and Dora Steel-Robertson, she was married to George Lester Foley on December 12, 1942. Minnie Lee Foley was known to a lot of people as Little Granny. She was a grandmother to many in and around Forrest Glade and Mexia. She had many “Old Time” Thanksgivings for her family and friends. Minnie Lee was always happiest when she was surrounded by here loved ones, she has many that she has touched over the years from watching little ones to people she has worked with at the Cotton Mill in Mexia, but her family will miss her most of all. Minnie Lee was received in Heaven by her parents, husband, two daughters that she sadly lost at birth, three sisters and two brothers. Minnie Lee is survived by her daughters, Dora Keenum of Mexia and Nelda Lummus and husband Dan of Palestine,; Grandchildren, Anna Medrano of Mexia, Angela Pendleton of Wortham, Tracy Vasquez and husband of Canton, TX, David Keenum and wife Allison of Cotton Gin, , Chris Foley and wife Courtney of Dawson,; Great-Grandchildren, Leeanne Foley-Arellano and husband Robert of Mexia, Joseph Foley of Mexia, Paul Foley and wife Letisha of Norton, KS, Angela Foley of Mexia, Justin and Ashley Sims of Wortham, Shevie, Bracy, and Marcus of Canton, Layni Keenum of Cotton Gin, C.J. Foley of Sulphur Springs, Dakota, and Morgan Foley of Dawson and ten Great-Great Grandchildren. Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, March 19, 2013 at the Blair-Stubbs Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Butch Boatright officiating. Interment will follow in the Mexia Cemetery. Pallbearers will be David Keenum, Paul Foley, Bobby Naylor, Albert Avila, Timothy Thatcher, Chris Pechacek. Honorary Pallbearers will be Chris Foley, Dakota Foley, Joseph Foley, Robert Arellano, and Justin Sims. Visitation with the family will be Monday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home. “He will wipe the tear from their eyes, and there will be no more death or sorrow or crying or pain. All things are gone forever.” –Rev 21:4 e.
