Funeral services for Mrs. Myrta Beatrice Runnels, 90 of Mexia will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, April 19, 2006 in the Kingdom Hall in Mexia. Bro. Edwin Sours will Officiate with interment to follow in Horn Hill Cemetery. Mrs. Runnels was born on February 11, 1916 in Honest Ridge to Lillie Jane Briggs and Albert Rufus Richardson and passed away on April 17, 2006 in the Mexia Nursing Home. She retired as ward attendant for Mexia State School and was a member of Jehovah's Witness. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Hiram R. Runnels, and sons, David Gene Runnels and Gerald Runnels. She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law Juanita and Larry Smith of Mexia, 5 grandchildren and 5 great Grandchildren. Pallbearers will be David Smith, Ryan Smith, Tony Richardson, Daniel Sanoja, Bob Johnson and Cameron Sours.
