Norma Bryant Obituary

Norma Sue Bryant, 71, of Katy, Texas, passed away June 5, 2015. Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, June 10, 2015 at Blair-Stubbs Chapel. Interment will follow in the Salem Cemetery. Visitation with the family will begin at Noon, prior to the service. Norma was born in Teague, Texas on August 1, 1943. She was raised in Teague and attended Teague ISD. She was a retired waitress. Although Norma worked outside the home, her first and, most important, job was raising her three children. She was a loving mother and grandmother devoted to caring for her family. Norma loved nothing more than being surrounded by her children, grandchildren and other family members. She was an excellent cook; chocolate pies were her favorite to make. She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Rebecca Suzanne Isam; sister, Carrol Lynette Nichols; and brother, Jeffery Lynn Vicars. Norma is survived by her daughter, Carole Dean Long of Katy; son, Robert Michael Bryant of Seattle, WA; grandchildren, Shaun Marshall, Jason Marshall, Brandy Harry, Robert Long,II, Stephen Marshall, Melissa Sue Long, Emily Bryant, Kristen Long, Brenna Bryant and Lana Bryant; a number of great-grandchildren; brother, M. A. “Butch” Nichols of Mexia; and sister, Marilyn Kerley of Teague.
