Novella McCoslin Obituary

Novella Foley McCoslin of Waco passed away peacefully at her home Thursday, June 25, 2009. Services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 27, 2009, at Blair-Stubbs Funeral Home Chapel in Mexia, officiated by Rev. Rick Gray. Visitation will be Friday, June 26, 2009, from 6-8 p.m. Novella was born November 20, 1919, to Dock and Lydia Foley in Leon County. She was a member of New Hope Baptist Church in Farrar, Texas. She married James Neyland McCoslin on December 23, 1935. They were happily married for 60 years. She was the proud mother of three daughters: Bobbie Hurley of Waco, Dawna Hancock and husband, Edward of Franklin, and Judy Moore and husband, George of Waco. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, one brother, four sisters, and one great-great grandchild. She is survived by one sister, Edith Curran, 10 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren, 6 great-great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be her grandsons and great-grandsons, Bradley Broussard, Jacob Bye, Wayne Campbell, Danny Hancock, Brandon Moore, Jeffrey Moore, and Vince Palasota, Jr. The family wants to send a special thank you to the Scott & White Hospice and nurses: Sheri Fisk, Tammie Beck, and Janie Hebert.
