Raymond Don Hancock, 66, of Ft. Worth passed June 11, 2012 in Ft. Worth, Texas at his daughter's home, surrounded by his family. Graveside services will be 10:30AM, Thursday, June 14, 2012 in the Mexia Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be 9:00 – 10:00 a.m., Thursday, at Blair-Stubbs Funeral Home. Don was born January 7, 1946 in Mexia, Texas to Raymond and Emma Nora Taylor Hancock. He graduated from Mexia High School and Sam Houston University with a degree in Political Science and English. He was an insurance salesman for many years before retiring. Don was very jovial and outgoing, he never met a stranger. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, James H. “Bubba” Hancock. Don is survived by his two children, Holly Walters and partner, Liz Miller and Ryan Hancock and wife, Crystal all of Ft. Worth; five grandchildren, Jenna, Mikel, Gabe, Beau and Sarah; and sister, Joyce Nussbaum and husband, Claude of Mexia.
