Graveside services for Reba Fay Sewell, 88, of Mexia will be 2 p.m. Tuesday, October 10, 2006 in Mexia Cemetery. Rev. Marcus Sheffield will officiate with interment following . Mrs. Sewell was born Feb. 26, 1918 in Thelma to William Nathan and Lexie Jane Crowson Pelton and passed away October 8, 2006 in the Mexia Hospital. She was a newspaper carrier for Mexia Daily News and Waco Tribune -Herald for 37 years. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Mexia. Survivors include a daughter: Maxine Ramsey of Mexia; grandchildren, Jerry Cecil Ramsey and Brenda Haddix of Waco, two great grandchildren Jonathan and Christi and three great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husbands, Fred D. Petty in 1974 and Welch Sewell in 1985 and two sisters, Susie Hayden and Mamie Schrader.
