Robert Dalton "Junior" Carter, Jr., 63, of Mexia passed away September 22, 2010 in Mexia. Graveside services will be 11:00 AM, Saturday, September 25, 2010 in the Mexia Cemetery with Rev. Jared Rogers officiating. Visitation with the family will be 6-8 p.m., Friday at Blair-Stubbs Funeral Home. Junior was born December 3, 1946 in Mexia, Texas to Robert Dalton and Doris Faye (Vest) Carter, Sr. He retired from the Mexia State School maintenance department. Junior was an avid fisherman. He enjoyed spending time with his family and spoiling the grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Junior was very outgoing; he enjoyed being around people. He will truly be missed by his family and many friends. He was preceded in death by his father. Junior is survived by his wife, Sandra Carter of Mexia; mother, Doris Carter of Mexia; children, Robert D. Carter, III, Joe Leago and wife, Vanissa and John Leago and wife, Debbie all of Mexia; grandchildren, Kristie Leago, Bubba Leago and wife, Jennifer, Hunter and Judd Carter, Ashelee and Aimee Owens, and Sara and Stacey Masters; great-grandchildren, Tyler and Ayden Leago; and sister, Regina Turner and husband, Jerry of Penelope; sister-in law and brother-in-law, Sally and Walter Wilkerson of Thornton.
