Rosie Mae Timberlake, 83, passed away February 13, 2014 in Fort Worth, Texas. Graveside services will be 4:00 p.m., Sunday, February 16, 2014 in the Mexia Cemetery with Chaplain Paul Reedy officiating. Visitation with the family will be 2:30-4:00 p.m., Sunday at Blair-Stubbs Funeral Home. Rosie was born January 18, 1931 in Cotton Gin, Texas to Marshall and Nancy Jewel Archibald Kuyava. She worked for many years as a waitress at Ray’s Steakhouse and Buddy’s Cafe in Mexia. She later went to work and retired from the Mexia State School after 22 years of service as a Canteen Clerk. While working at the Mexia State School, she attended MCC and Navarro College obtaining her Child Care Certification. After retirement, Rosie and her late husband, Red, enjoyed traveling. They were avid RV’ers and members of the Thousand Trails Club in Lake Whitney, one of their favorite locations. They also shared a love for dancing. Rosie so appropriately left this world to join Red on Valentine’s Day, where they can again and always be together dancing with the stars. She was preceded in death by her parents; and husband of 67 years, Orville “Red” Timberlake. Rosie is survived by her three children, Sharon Wilson and husband, Johnny of Groesbeck, Orville Ray Timberlake and wife, Teresa of Temple and Rona Stanford and husband, Robert of Ft. Worth; grandchildren, Clinton Wade Wilson and wife, Krystal of Waco, Walton Clay Wilson of Stafford, Sara Trevino of Temple, Wade Timberlake of Temple, Brian Stanford of Ft. Worth and Brandy Stanford of Austin; great-grandchildren, Grady and Maggie Wilson and Gabriella Trevino; and brother, Kenneth Kuyava of Phoenix, AZ. The family would like to extend special thanks to Dr. Quang Le, Dr. DeniseNusser-Bruckerhoff, Dr. Osafo, Dr. Adedokun, Dr. Robert Ruxer and the nurses of Odyssey Hospice with special thanks to Stacy Simms, RN and Hilda Jackson, CNA. Memorials may be made to Odyssey Hospice, the Lymphoma Cancer Society or a charity of choice.
