Terry Wayne Person, 59, of Mexia passed away at his home in Mexia on September 26, 2010. Funeral services will be 10:00 AM, Thursday, September 30, 2010 at Blair-Stubbs Funeral Home with Rev. Michael Vestal and Rev. James Hooper officiating. Interment will follow in the Mexia Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at Blair-Stubbs Funeral Home. Terry was born January 19, 1951 in Mexia, Texas to James L. and D. Marie (Outlaw) Person. Terry was a friend to all he met. He was a Christian and loved his church and Lord. He was a faithful member of the Temple Baptist Church of Mexia. Terry will be missed by all who knew him. He was preceded in death by his parents. Terry is survived by a brother, James Stephen Person and wife, Ruth Ann of Conroe; sister, Barbara Shamblin and husband, James David of Mexia; fiancé, Romelda Moffett of Mexia; nieces, Keri Allen and Hannah Person; nephew, Cory Shamblin; great-niece, Taylor Allen; great- nephews, Mitch and Luke Bailey and Cole Allen; and a number of aunts, uncles and cousins. Pallbearers will be David C. Shamblin, Alden Garber, Judge Micheal Denton, Ron Person, Ray Jones and Brandon Allen. Honorary pallbearers will be Robert Thatcher and Marvin McMahon.
