Funeral services for Troy Sneed West, 90 of Mexia will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, March 12, 2008 in Blair - Stubbs Chapel. Neil Bond will officiate with interment to follow in Prairie Grove Cemetery. Mr. West was born on September 2, 1917 in Teague to Jim and Ida Chumney West , and passed away on March 10, 2008 in a local nursing home. He had lived all of his life in this area, was a farmer, a butcher, school bus driver for Shiloh Schools in the mid 1940s to mid 1960s. He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Mexia. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Bessie Ruth Sunday West and siblings, Guy West, Willie West, Lester West, Sam West, John West, Fannie Cain Bertie Beene and Susie Kerzee. He is survived by nieces and nephews including Eva Ray and Thelma Bolton of Mexia and Duane West of Kirvin. Pallbearers will be Jimmy VanWinkle, Duane West, Jack Beene, Bennie Posey, Dan Beene and Bill Beene.
