Violet Ward

Violet Daisy Ward, 93, of Lewisville passed December 8, 2010. Graveside services will be 2:00 p.m., Saturday, December 11, 2010 at Faulkenberry Cemetery with Mr. Benny Lucas officiating. Visitation with the family will be 6-8 p.m., Friday at Blair-Stubbs Funeral Home. Daisy was born January 26, 1917 in Boaz, Alabama to Thomas Wilson and Mary Jane (Wheeler) Stephens. She had been a resident of Limestone County most of her life. She and her husband, Clayton, moved to Lewisville almost five years ago to be near their family. Daisy spent her life working hard on their farm and caring for her family. She was a very active member of the Shiloh Church of Christ. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Thomas Clayton Ward; and four brothers and three sisters. Daisy is survived by her son, Don Ward and wife, Evelyn of Lewisville; two granddaughters, Donna Bickert and husband, Jon and Debbie Bickert and husband, Mack; one great-granddaughter, Karina Bickert; and a number of nieces and nephews.
