Weldon Holder Obituary

Weldon Glynn Holder,69, of Shiloh passed away October 29, 2009 in Mexia. Funeral services will be 1:30 PM, Sunday, November 1, 2009 at Blair-Stubbs Chapel with Rev. Doyle Purifoy and Rev. David Snow officiating. Interment will follow in the Lost Prairie Cemetery with Masonic Graveside Services. Visitation with the family will be 6-8 p.m. Saturday at Blair-Stubbs Funeral Home. Glynn was born July 2, 1940 in Lost Prairie, Texas to Clarence Clay and Lilly Mae (Lummus) Holder. He retired, after 20 plus years, as a pipeline welder. Glynn married Lula Berle Horn on October 15, 1958 in Orange, Texas. They had been married for 50 years, prior to her death in 2008. Glynn enjoyed raising and racing horses and baling hay. He loved the country life. Glynn was a member of the Lost Prairie Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; and a brother, Clarence Junior Holder. Glynn is survived by his son, Weldon Dewayne Holder of Mexia; two grandchildren, Bridgette Dawn Holder and Joseph Dwight Holder; one great-grandchild, Logan Jude Badgette; and one sister, Frances Nichols of Groesbeck. Pallbearers will be Kelly Isbell, Duane Ashmore, Michael Gann, Jack Nichols, Kevin Nichols and Josh Nichols.
