Gilberto “Beto” Soto Sr., age 92, of Nixon, passed away Friday, October 20, 2017 in Nixon. He was born July 30, 1925 in Wrightsboro to Julian and Maria (Arce) De Soto. He was preceded in death by his parents; his daughters Helena, Connie, Sherry, Nancy and Alexandria Soto; son, John Anthony Soto; son-in-law, Paul Dingler Jr. Beto is survived by his wife, Eulalia Soto; children, Teri Maldonado (Joseph), Patricia Dingler and Gilbert Soto (Janie); grandchildren, Mark Soto (Jennifer), David Cooksey, Stephen Crisp (Amber), Roxie Jaimes (Hector) and Nicole Maldonado; 13 great-grandchildren; brother, Antonio Soto; and numerous nieces and nephews. A visitation will be held Monday, October 23, 2017 from 5pm to 8pm with a Rosary Vigil recited at 6:30pm at Finch Funeral Chapel, Nixon. FUNERAL MASS Tuesday, October 24, 2017 10am St. Joseph Catholic Church Father Kuriakose Ouseph will officiate the mass. Interment will follow in the St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery. Washington, Nixon, TX 78140.
