Ray Budge entered eternal rest on May 9, 2017 at the age of 72. He was born on December 18, 1944 in Bexar County, TX to Marion “Dede” and Audy Boatright Budge. Ray honorably served in the United States Navy and is a member of the American Legion #179 in New Braunfels. He started and operated Ray Budge Construction for over 30 years. Ray was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife, Melodie Budge; children, Rayna Coull (David), Melissa Digby (Tom), Audry Rink (Brian), Raymond Budge, Jr. (Lisa), Jason Kreutler, Angela Byrd, and Nicole Mounts (Max Mutter); 19 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; and many friends. Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Friday, May 12, 2017 at Finch Funeral Chapel- La Vernia. Funeral Service Saturday, May 13, 2017 10:00 a.m. First Baptist Church La Vernia, TX Interment will follow at Concrete Cemetery in La Vernia. Rev. Dr. Josh Walters will officiate the services.
