Lloyd Pence, 99, passed away Thursday, December 14, 2017. Visitation will be held all day Monday, December 18, 2017 at Shaffer Funeral Home/Grape Creek. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, December 19, 2017 Pioneer Memorial Park. Services are under the direction of Shaffer Funeral Home/Grape Creek. Lloyd was born August 28, 1918 in Brady, Texas to W.B. Pence and Ardelia Pence. His father was a farmer and rancher, he was one of eight children. He served in the Army during World War II as a Combat Infantryman and was honorably discharged in 1945. Lloyd married Daphna Reeves in 1951. They were married forty-two years and had one son, Bob Pence. He retired from Terril Mfg. Co. in 1984 where he was employed as a foreman for thirty years. He was preceded in death by his parents; four brothers; three sisters; and his wife. Lloyd is survived by his son, Bob Pence of San Angelo.
