Raul Eduardo "Roy" "Bio" Salinas Obituary

MCALLEN - Raul Eduardo "Roy" Salinas also known as "Bio" to his friends, 57, went home to our Lord Friday, March 26, 2021, in McAllen. Born in Edinburg, Roy was a former resident in Pharr and lived in McAllen for 22 years, where he was a parishioner at Holy Spirit Catholic Church. After graduation, Roy joined his Uncle Oscar and Aunt Minnie in their CPA firm where he worked for the next 39 years. He married the love of his life, Lili, and together raised four amazing children. Although Roy enjoyed hunting and fishing, his greatest love was his family. Wherever Litza and Regina were, Roy was not far behind, as a Girl Scout dad or a dance dad. We will always remember his greatest highlight when he performed on stage with them in the Nutcracker. He was always there to support his girls. Roy is survived by his loving wife, Olga Lidia Salinas of McAllen; four children, Andrea (Oziel De La Garza) Perales Martinez of Portland, TX, Jose Omar Perales Martinez, Litza Raquel Salinas, Emilia Regina Salinas, all of McAllen; four grandchildren, Raul Eduardo De La Garza, Mia Perales, Mildred Perales, Isabella Perales; his parents, Manuel R. and Raquel Salinas of Pharr; four siblings, Emily Salinas of Pharr, Rick (Norma) Salinas of Edinburg, Debbie Salinas, Lori (Eddie) Suarez, both of San Juan; four nephews, John Paul Salinas, Justin Michael Gonzales, JR Salinas, and Anthony Salinas. Visitation will be held from 5 to 8 p.m., with a 6 p.m. rosary Monday, April 5, 2021, at Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan. Live streaming will be available via Zoom, with meeting ID 841 1237 3192 and passcode 207352. Funeral service will take place at 10 a.m. Tuesday, April 6, 2021, at Holy Spirit Catholic Church, 2201 Martin Ave. in McAllen. Cremation will take place at Memorial Cremation Center in Edinburg. Pallbearers will be, John Paul Salinas, Justin Gonzales, JR Salinas, Omar Perales, Oziel De La Garza, and Anthony Salinas. Honorary pallbearer, Raul Eduardo De La Garza. In lieu of flowers, an education fund has been established at Lone Star National Bank in the name of FOB Raul Eduardo Salinas daughter's education fund.
