Robin Randall Smith passed away on September 7, 2019 near Monticello, Utah, doing what he loved, riding his Harley. He was born in Van Nuys, California July 17, 1952 to Curtis Elmer Smith and Francis Dee Chaffin Smith. He was raised in Huntington Beach California and attended Marina High School. He was the second child in a family of six sons and two daughters. He worked with his father and brothers as a young man. In 1972 he began a two-year mission in the Southern States. There he picked up a love of gospel music and barbeque he maintained throughout his life. Robin married Linda Rae Romberg in the Los Angeles Temple on November 22,1974. They had four sons. He worked as a union truck driver and eventually became an owner operator pulling flatbed trailers throughout the western states.  In 1980 Robin moved with wife and two oldest sons to Hinckley, Utah where he managed Paramount Cubing, an alfalfa hay cube manufacturer. His job was to buy alfalfa from area farmers, turn it into hay cubes and ship it to California. He loved working with and training his sons. He dealt fairly with area farmers. He first traveled to Parowan, Utah to visit his wife’s family in 1975. He loved Parowan. He enjoyed hiking and horse packing in the Uinta Mountains. He loved snowmobiling. Over the years he served the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Young Men’s, Boy Scouts and a Bishopric. He was a Gospel Doctrine teacher for many years. He loved the gospel of Jesus Christ. He spent 25 years serving on the Millard County Planning Commission. Survived by wife: Linda; Sons: Brent (Jeannette), of La Grande, Oregon; Darren (Kezlynn) of Delta, Utah; Ryan (Jackie) of Parowan, Utah; and Kyle (Kassidy) of Cedar City, Utah.  Robin loved his 15 grandchildren: Ethan, Marie, Sidney, Lorelei, Seth, Austin, Natalie, Conner, Paige, Theodore, Quinn, Hailey, Maevy, Avery, & Lettie. He is also survived by his Father Curtis, Delta, Utah; Brothers: Russell (Chris), Brian (Julie), Matt (Jane); Sisters: Sister Wendy and Jenny.  He was preceded death by his Mother Francis Smith and brothers David (Janis) and Corey. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday September 14th 2019 at 11:00 am at the Parowan 2nd Ward Chapel (59 South 100 West). Viewings will be held on Friday September 13 at the church from 6:00-8:00 pm and then on Saturday from 9:30-10:30 am prior to services.
