Grant Gallier Obituary

Our hearts are broken, but they are also filled with joy. Our Granty boy returned to the arms of our loving Heavenly Father on Tuesday, July 11, 2017. He has fought a good fight. More than anyone should have to endure. And all with a smile on his face. But he decided that he had had enough. And we did our best to make his exit from this life as easy and painless as possible. Grant Randal Gallier was born February 2, 2005 to Jeremy Glenn Gallier and April Leean Roberts (Gallier) at the American Fork Hospital and then transferred to UVRMC shortly after where he spent 26 days in the NICU. Grant’s biggest joy in life was game shows. His all time favorite was Family Feud. He was even able to fulfill a dream by auditioning for the show this past winter. He loved to eat and could out eat most adults, but most of all he loved his ice cream. Grant was a flirt and loved to blow kisses to the ladies. But he was also a tease just like any normal 12 year old boy. There wasn’t a person who knew Grant that was not changed for the better. We are grateful for the many doctors, nurses, therapists, teachers, aids, and bus drivers who have cared for our special boy and loved him like their own. We know he is up in heaven running with his grandpas, singing with his grandmas, getting into some mischief with his Uncle Ryan, and flirting with the ladies with Richard Dawson. We are excited for the day when we will be able to meet again and get to see his perfect body. Grant is survived by his parents Jeremy and April Gallier (Springville), his sisters Mikkele Elise (17), Hallie May (8), and Tessa Leigh (3), his grandparents Glenn and Dorene Gallier (Mapleton), Randy and Diane Roberts (South Jordan), Ann Roberts (San Antonio), Mignon Gallier (Springville), and Ron Jones (West Jordan), his aunts and uncles January and Dave Larsen, Aaron and Brittany Roberts, Alisha and Albert Foster, Adam and Jessie Roberts, and Holly Butterbredt, many cousins, and a large extended family. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, July 17, 2017 at the Kolob LDS Stake Center, 1230 South 500 East, Springville, UT. There will be a viewing on Sunday, July 16th from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the church and on Monday from 9:30 to 10:45 a.m., prior to services. Interment will be in the Mapleton Cemetery.  We will be forever indebted to the many family, friends, ward members, and neighbors who have helped us over the years, but most importantly the last 3 months. We want to express our appreciation to the Ronald McDonald Family Room and the many employees at Primary Children’s Hospital. We could not have gotten through the last 3 months without their support and direction.
