Mindy Fowlke Obituary

Mindy Lee Hilton Fowlke of Spanish Fork Utah, left her earthly life after a courageous battle with postpartum psychosis and returned to her Father in Heaven on Wednesday December 6, 2017. She was born in Cottonwood Hospital in Salt Lake City, UT on June 27, 1982 to Gary and Kengie Hilton. She was married to her sweetheart, Shane Clark Fowlke, for time and all eternity on May 31, 2003 in the Mount Timpanogos Temple in American Fork, UT. Mindy was one of the most amazing women you could have ever known. She was a daughter, sister, friend, wife, and mother. She was genuine and pure. She was light hearted and had a personality that just bubbled over, brightened, and lifted those around her. She was full of energy and had a zest for life. She was absolutely hard to keep up with! Her smile was beautiful and completely contagious! She noticed the little things and found joy in them. She was deeply loyal to her family and friends and was always looking for ways to lift others. She reached out to those who needed. She had no judgment within her, she was understanding, and was able to show empathy easily. Her happy place was anywhere her family was, but especially in the mountains. She loved the outdoors fiercely and almost could not be contained inside! She loved long walks, morning runs, and just breathing the fresh air. She and Shane took their family camping as much as was possible. The mountains were their home away from home! She loved her sweet labradors, gardening, a new found love of sewing, and creating a beautiful home for her family. She was a wife and mother. Those were the titles she cherished the most. She was beaming with pride and joy over each of her children. She was so playful with them, attentive, and loving. Each of them believed that they were her favorite…they were right. She adored Shane. She was so proud of him in every way. He was truly her “everything”. She believed in him…and still does. She trusted him completely…and still does. He absolutely had her heart…and still does. She will always be right by his side as he continues this journey with their 6 beautiful children. She will be right by their sides too in the small quiet moments of their lives and she’ll be right there celebrating those big ones too! Mindy was the 5th of eleven children. Her parents were overjoyed at her arrival! She has 5 sisters and 5 brothers. She was her sister Kimberli’s “twin” four years apart. They shared the same birthday and Kim made sure that the world knew that she would be coming on her birthday! She absolutely loved her parents and siblings and would take any chance she could to be with them. She was one of the most bouncy uncontainable bright spots in the family! She loved her family so much! She loved making the memories we share together. As she leaves, each of her siblings and her parents have no doubt that she loved them unconditionally and huge!! Mindy was a truly devoted follower of Christ and loved her Father in Heaven in a very very deep way. She had such a personal relationship with both of Them. Her greatest desire in this life was to please Them and be Their warrior. We have no doubt that she will be on the front lines of the battle that is raging between good and evil here on this earth as she moves on. She is a fighter and a fierce competitor especially for that which is good and right. She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. Her testimony is strong and unfailing. She built it daily, never forgetting to study and pray. She knew exactly who she was! She was so excited to be called “mother” by each of her 6 children. They brought her immense joy and gave her love and life. We know that she will greatly miss being here with Hunter Shane (13), Wyatt Todd (11), Zachary Kenneth (8), Kyler Clark (5), Alyssa Kay (4), and Lily Valoy (2). She ran through life with her siblings, Alona Reynolds (Aaron) of Cedar Hills UT, Kendra Bullinger (Shawn) of Burlington WY, Kimberli Hughes (Chris) of American Fork UT, Shane Hilton (Megan) of Tempe AZ, Tyler Hilton (Emily) of Montrose CA, Jacob Hilton (Shannon) of Mesa AZ, Analynn Mackprang (Chris) of Eagle Mountain UT, Jared Hilton (Lauren) of Lehi UT, Joseph Hilton of Provo UT, and Sarah Hilton of Cedar Hills UT. Her parents, Gary and Kengie Hilton reside in Cedar Hills UT. She loved Shane’s family and was so happy to be a Fowlke. She takes wonderful memories with her of Shane’s parents, Clark and Valoy Fowlke of Woodland Hills UT, and of Ryan Fowlke (Ambre) of Beaver UT, Adam Fowlke of Payson UT, Tyler Fowlke of Springville UT, Cody Fowlke (Amanda) of Orem UT, and Brooke Palmer (Trevor) of Santaquin UT. She loved and adored the 33 nieces and nephews that she has and she made sure that each one knew it! She loved the sweet relationship she had with her grandparents Dorothy Virginia Riley of Orem UT and A. Eugene Hilton of Sandy UT. She has many many incredible aunts, uncles, and cousins. She has countless numbers of friends who absolutely love and cherish her. She was welcomed on the other side into the arms of the loved ones who went before her. She loved her Grandma Lyda Ruth Patten Hilton, Grandpa Kenneth Jones, Grandparents Paul and Zella Williams, Grandparents Ernest and Lola Fowlke, her uncles Kevin Jones, Jeffrey Jones, John Terry Hilton, Todd Williams, and aunt Lynne Vorwaller. We find great peace and comfort knowing they were waiting there to wrap her in their arms. Services will be held for her in Spanish Fork Utah. There will be a viewing for friends and family on Thursday December 14th from 6:00 - 8:00 at the Canyon View Stake Center. Her funeral will be held Friday December 15th at 12:00 p.m. at the Canyon View Stake Center (989 South 2550 East). She will be laid to rest at the Spanish Fork Cemetery.
