Marian Blanchard

Marian (LaPoint) Blanchard Waterville Marian Ellen (LaPoint) Blanchard, 82, passed away on Saturday September 23, 2017 at St. Albans Health and Rehab in St. Albans. She was born on March 3, 1935 in Cambridge, VT daughter of the late Melbourne and Elizabeth (King) LaPoint. She married Francis Blanchard on May 15, 1951 in Fairfax. Marian enjoyed hiking on Belvidere Mountain with her dog Hannah, tending to her flower garden and roses. She loved cooking all her meals from scratch. She loved being outdoors and animals but most of all she loved her grandchildren. Marian is survived by her two sons Dennis Blanchard and his wife, Peter Blanchard, her daughter Martha Boozan and husband Dean, four grandchildren Alissa Blanchard, Colt Blanchard, Eric Boozan and Rachel Boozan. She is also predeceased by her husband Francis Blanchard on April 16, 1986 and her brothers Richard and Francis LaPoint. Visiting hours will be held on Tuesday September 26, 2017 from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. at A W Rich Funeral Home – Fairfax Chapel. A graveside service will be held on Wednesday September 27, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. in the family lot in Binghamville Cemetery.
