Alan Hogue

Alan G. “AJ” Hogue, Jr. Essex Jct. Alan Grey “AJ” Hogue, Jr., 19, passed away in University of Vermont Medical Center in Burlington, Vermont on Saturday, May 21, 2016 following a tragic motorcycle accident. He was born on July 28, 1996 in Leesburg, FL, son of Nancy (Russillo) Hogue and the late Alan Grey Hogue, Sr. AJ was a very sensitive, loving, and creative young man. A free spirit, he was truly one of a kind and blazed his own path in life. Like his father, AJ had a passion and talent for photography, capturing images with an imaginative eye and also loved interior design. He was very adventurous and loved being active spending time in the woods; hunting; fishing; swimming; skate boarding; and snowboarding, and was an excellent marksman. His passion for cars and motorcycles, ATV’s and snowmobiling also kept him on the move. AJ attended Essex High School and was interested in pursuing a career in law enforcement following in his Dad’s footsteps. There are no words to describe how much his mother, sister, family, friends, and community will miss him, though we take comfort in knowing he is in a better place.
