Albert Walter Bertram, 68, of Isle LaMotte died Saturday October 24, 2015 at the University of Vermont Medical Center following a sudden illness. He was born in New Canaan, CT on July 28, 1947, the son of the late Albert and Adelma (Wolke) Bertram. He was raised and educated in New Canaan where he lived for many years. He worked for Walmart in Norwalk, CT for many years before his retirement. <br/><br/>He moved to Isle LaMotte, VT in 2012. He was a member of the Isle LaMotte Fire Department, a Justice of the Peace, and the Isle LaMotte Town Forest Fire Warden. He was a 3rd Degree member of Council 7669 of the Knights of Columbus of Swanton, VT and a 4th Degree Member of Assembly #100 of the Knights of Columbus in Norwalk, CT.<br/><br/>In addition to his parents he was predeceased by his first wife Lynn (Becker) Bertram. He is survived by his wife Marjorie (Waterhouse) Bertram, his son Albert Eric (Joy) Bertram, of Ashford, CT, his sister Joan (Jeff) Frankle of Norwalk, CT, his brother Bruce (Ruth) Bertran of Danbury, CT, his step-daughters Angela Gowing of Sheldon and April (Raymie) St. Francis of Highgate, his grandson, Zach, and step grandson, Michael, Christopher, Shane, R.J., Wade, Ryan and Cole, also a nephew and 2 nieces and his devoted pets, Sable, Abby, Pumpkin Puss and Pipsqueek.<br/><br/>Per Albert’s wishes there will be no public services held.
