Angeline M. (Dubois) Lassonde Essex Jct. Angeline Marie (Dubois) Lassonde, 92 passed away on Sunday, January 27, 2013 at Fletcher Allen Health Care in Burlington. She was born in St. Anne de Stuckley, Quebec on March 23, 1920 daughter of the late William and Rose-Emma (Dufresne) Dubois. Angeline was a deeply spiritual person who derived great comfort and strength from her faith. All through her life she took great joy in admiring nature. Her tremendous sense of humor never failed her to the very end. She delighted in children, particularly her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Her favorite pastimes included word search and jigsaw puzzles, bingo and cribbage. She is survived by her son Serge Lassonde and Kate Sherwood of NY; six daughters: Christiane Laneuville and husband Laurent of Essex; Louise Schwabe and husband Don of MA; Janine Bilodeau and husband Dennis of Alburgh; Denyse Labrie of Essex; Roxanne Shull and husband David of TX; Françoise Turner and husband Gary of NH; one sister Solange Pare of PQ, Canada; one sister-in-law; two brothers-in-law; 17 grandchildren; 28 great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Christian Lassonde April 17, 1993; two brothers Hilaire Dubois, Lionel Dubois and her sisters Germaine Privé; MarieAnge Perault; Rita Ruel and Sonya Dubois as well as members of her late husband’s family. Visiting hours will be held on Wednesday January 30, 2013 from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. at A. W. Rich Funeral Home – Essex Chapel, 57 Main Street, Essex Jct., VT 05452. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday January 31, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at Holy Family Church with Reverend Charles Ranges, S.S.E. officiating. A Spring burial will be held in the family lot in Holy Family Cemetery, Essex Jct.
