Ann Guttilla

Ann (Thompson) Guttilla passed away peacefully on Tuesday March 18, 2014 at the Vermont Respite House in Williston. Ann was born April 19, 1937 in England and came the United States with her Mother and Brother in 1939 just before the US entered into WWII. They lived in New York City for many years where she met her beloved husband of 59 years, Joseph Guttilla. They shared many adventures together through the years and spent much of their lives raising three children, Richard Guttilla, Michael Guttilla and Nicole Zaccara. Ann, Joe and Nicole relocated to Vermont in 1986 and fell in love with it. Not long after Michael and his wife Carmen came to join and then years later Richard Guttilla. Ann enjoyed a social life with many friends and loved to follow politics and current events. She loved to read mystery novels and watching old movies. Ann had a very special place in her heart for her two dogs Lucky and Lucy. Ann also enjoyed the time she spent with her grandchildren Erika Guttilla, Melissa Guttilla and Dakota Guttilla. Ann is survived by her husband Joseph, sons Michael and Richard, daughter Nicole and her three grandchildren. A memorial service will be held on Friday, March 21, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. at The First Congregational Church in Essex Junction.
