Armand Leclerc Obituary

Armand Arthur Leclerc, 82, passed away in his home on the land he loved Tuesday, June 2, 2015 in Essex, Vermont. He was born October 5, 1932 to the late Leopold and Amelia (Couture) Leclerc in Winooski, Vermont. On September 20, 1969 he married Linda Wesson in Burlington, Vermont. Armand, a Korean War veteran, lead LECLERC CONSTRUCTION for over 50 years. In his early days he was a champion race car driver and an avid outdoorsman. His passion was competitive Bass Fishing and Vermont Whitetail Deer hunting out of the family hunting camp but especially loved his fishing/hunting trips to Florida and Alaska. Armand always gave of himself and everything he could to family, friends and even complete strangers and always put the needs of others first. Armand thoroughly enjoyed entertaining family and friends with stories of past experiences that always had a humorous ending . He touched so many people's lives and his presence will be deeply missed. Survivors include his wife Linda of 45 years; his son Patrick and his wife Dianna of Colchester; his daughter Martina of Fairfield; his son Andrew and wife Kara of Richmond; his son Martin of Jonesville; his brother Leonard and his wife Shirley of St. Albans; his brother John and his wife Theresa of Fairfax; his brother Simon of Winooski; his brother Clement and his wife Joyce of Georgia; his sister Pauline Piche of Williston; his sister Theresa Couture of Florida; his sister Bernadette Boyd and husband Keith of St. Albans; his sister Cecile Brunelle and husband Raymond of Winooski; his sister Irene Pinkham of Camdridge; his sister Patricia Clark and husband Rick of Winooski; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Armand was predeceased by his parents, his brother Roland and sisters Jane and Agnes. Per Armand's wishes there will be no public visiting hours held. A Catholic Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, June 6, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Francis Xavier Church, Winooski with Monsignor Richard G. Lavalley. Inurnment will be private and at the convenience of the family. Memorial contributions can be made to the Visiting Nurse Association at 1110 Prim Rd, Colchester, Vt 05446.
