Lowell - Arnold Joseph McAllister passed away peacefully on Friday March 6, 2020. He was born on August 19, 1929 in Westfield, Vermont to Frederick and Elvira (Ducharme) McAllister. On November 11, 1949 he married Rejeanne Routhier, they were married 70 years lacking 6 months a marriage which granted them 5 children, 4 boys and a girl. She predeceased him on May 22, 2019. Arnold was a wonderful husband. He is survived by 4 sons, Tom and his wife Sally, Marc, Francis and his wife Joan, Michael and his wife Donna, a daughter Lyse, 4 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren, 2 great-great grandchildren, a brother-in-law Maurice Routhier, 2 sisters-in-law Helen, Angela Routhier many nephews, nieces, cousins and friends. He was predeceased by his brother Robert McAllister, sister Nancy McAllister Chamberland, 9 sisters-in-law, 15 brothers-in-law. Calling hours will be held on March 28, 2020 at St. Andre Bessette (Sacred Heart Church), 103 South Pleasant Street, South Troy, Vermont from 10:00 a.m. until the hour of Mass at 11:00 am. A burial in the spring will be held at a later date for Arnold and Rejeanne McAllister together in Lowell, Vermont.
