Bertha P. (Therrien) Raymond Essex Jct. Bertha Pauline (Therrien) Raymond, 94, passed away on April 17, 2015 at Green Mountain Nursing Home in Colchester. Bertha was born on January 14, 1921 in Springfield, MA, daughter of the late Albert J. and Marie (Coache) Therrien. She enjoyed her vegetable and flower gardens and cultivating her house plants through out the seasons. Bertha looked forward to the special quiet times when sewing for her family. She especially loved being a homemaker while lovingly raising her children. Bertha is survived by her children Kathryn Raymond of Georgia and Dennis Raymond of Essex Jct., cousins Barbara Goroway of N.C., Sue Gagne of Wisconsin and Richard Coache of Mass and her special friends Sonja Clodgo, Bernard Couture and George Pineault. She was also predeceased by her husband Francis Raymond. Per Bertha’s wishes there will be no public visiting hours. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday April 22, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Lawrence Church, Essex Jct. with Reverend Charles Ranges, S.S.E. officiating. Burial will be in the family lot in Holy Family Cemetery in the Spring at the convenience of the family.
