Beverly J. (Stewart) Taylor Fairfax Beverly Jane (Stewart) Taylor, 86, passed away at her home in Fairfax on Sunday, April 28, 2013. She was born on May 11, 1926 in Jeffersonville, VT daughter of the late Clifford and Rena (Spofford) Stewart. Beverly graduated from BFA Fairfax as Valedictorian of the Class of 1944 and attended UVM. On March 4, 1945 she married Herbert Taylor. She had been an active member of the Eastern Star. Beverly served on the board for the Fairfax United Methodist Church, Franklin County Home Health and Hospice and the Fairfax Community Library. She loved spending her summers at camp in Grand Isle and enjoyed a good Lemon Drop. Beverly had many friends and family and will be missed by all those who knew and loved her. She is survived by her four children Susan Mitchell and husband John of Fairfax; William S. Taylor and wife Kelly of AZ; Richard Taylor of Grand Isle; Wendy Taylor of Troy, NY; her sister Janet Geer of Fairfax; four grandchildren Scott and wife Jennifer Mitchell of Fairfax; Matthew Mitchell of CA; Megan Taylor and husband Matt Andrus of NH; Eli and Aimee Taylor of VA; five Great Grandchildren: Peter & Samantha Mitchell, Jacob, Dylan and Elouise Taylor. She was also predeceased by her husband Herbert Taylor in 1976. Visiting hours will be held on Tuesday, April 30, 2013 from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. at A. W. Rich Funeral Home – Fairfax Chapel, 1176 Main Street, Fairfax, VT 05454. A Memorial service will be held on Wednesday May 1, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at the United Church of Fairfax with Reverend Elizabeth Griffin and Reverend Walter Mahany co-officiating. Inurnment will follow in the family lot in Fairfax Plains Cemetery.
