Brian Shepard Fairfax, Vermont Obituary

Brian Shepard

In Loving Memory of our beloved son, father, brother and friend, Brian K. Shepard, 56, of Grand Isle, VT passed away on Friday, August 5, 2016 following a car accident near his home. Brian was born on March 25, 1960 to the parents of Neil F. and Barbara A. Shepard of Colchester, VT. Brian will be remembered for his love of his son, Ryan K. Shepard, his life partner, Jane Gauthier, and his parents, family and friends. Brian was a self-made skilled craftsman and could build most anything. He often worked closely with his father and you could often hear them laughing together or discussing the solution to the problem. He was a loving father to Ryan and they shared a love of motocross. Brian was so proud of his son. He loved to garden and often shared the fruits of his labor with friends and family. Brian had a wonderful sense of humor and often “filled the room with laughter”. He was a kind and gentle soul. He was a great friend to many and was much loved by everyone. He will be terribly missed. He also leaves behind his sisters and brother-in-laws—Cynthia and Joseph Debenedetto, and Sharon Shepard and Jim Rinderle. He also leaves is nieces and nephews—Adam and Rachel Smith, Melissa Gebo, Amanda Rinderle and Jonas Clark, and Allyson Rinderle. He also leaves Lorri Shepard and many surviving aunts and uncles including Rita and Robert Gauthier, Theresa Lavallette, Joyce Shepard, Darlene and Jerry Shepard, Ann and Lynn Shepard, and Douglas Shepard. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that you perform an act of kindness to a stranger letting them know it is from our beloved Brian—helping him leave his footprint for a better world. A funeral mass will be held at 11:00 on Wednesday, August 10, 2016, at Holy Cross Church, 416 Church Road, Colchester, VT. Reception to follow. Burial services will be at a later date. Family invites you to share your memories at www.awrfh.com.
