Clara Rogers

Clare Rogers, 87, of Colchester, Vermont passed away on 08/20/15 at University of Vermont Medical Center. She grew up in Ramsey, NJ and also had a beach home down the shore in Monterey Beach, NJ. She is preceded in death by her husband Frank Rogers. Clare is survived by her children Patti Allen of Jupiter, Fl and Bob Rogers of Colchester, VT and her grandson Jason Allen and his wife Clara from NJ. Clare retired from Hoffman LaRoche pharmaceuticals where she worked as an assistant scientist in the lab doing research. After retiring she and her husband Frank built their dream home in Grand Isle. Clare had been active previously in the Hinesburg Club where she was Vice President and Secretary. She also volunteered at the Grand Isle Thrift Shop. She loved to travel and she and her husband took every opportunity to do so. They traveled extensively thru Europe, Greece and Saudi Arabia and also took many cruises. Clare enjoyed various arts and crafts, gardening and quilting. She especially enjoyed her time with her grandson Jason, taking him to the beach and the Fair. A special thanks goes out to the VNA, The Adult Day Program, her home health caregivers and the staff at the University of Vermont Medical Center who cared for her. Mom you will be remembered for your love of life and never giving up. We love you and will miss you, Mom, Grandma. Per Clare’s wishes there will be no public visiting hours or services held.
