Claude F. Paquette Essex Jct. Claude F. Paquette passed away peacefully on November 29, 2013 at the Vermont Respite House in Williston. He was born in Irasburg, on December 4, 1935 as the youngest son of Osias and Rose Amande Paquette. Claude married his loving wife, Beverly E. Bullis on October 16, 1954, who cared for him right up to the end of his life. Claude enjoyed his family, puzzles, square dancing, bowling, listening to Burl Ives and watching America's Funniest Home Videos. Claude was a great provider as an exceptional crane operator for Cote Contractors, Pizzagalli Construction and eventually his own trucking company. Claude thoroughly enjoyed his work and the many miles up and down the east coast. He was also a longtime volunteer of the Essex Junction Fire Department. Claude is survived by his loving family: his wife of 59 years, Beverly; daughter Shirley Fitzgerald and husband John and their children: Jennifer, Mary and John; son David and wife Melissa (Mazza) and their children: Shantel, Danielle, David Jr., Amy and MacKenzie; son Bruce and wife Judy (Sorrell) and their children: Sarah and Christina; son Kenneth and wife Lisa (Sicard) and their children: Ken Jr. and Chad; daughter Sue-Ellen Kelly and husband Marty and their children: Mackenzie and Marty III; sisters Theresa and Laurette and brother Rudolph, along with great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends. He was predeceased by his parents and 8 siblings. The family wishes to thank the staff and volunteers of the Vermont Respite House for their exceptional care of Claude and support of the entire family. Visiting hours will be Thursday, December 5, 2013 from 5-8 p.m. at A W Rich Funeral Home, 57 Main Street, Essex Junction. A celebration of Claude's life will take place Friday, December 6, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at Essex Alliance Church, 37 Old Stage Road, Essex. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Claude's name to the Vermont Respite House, 99 Allen Brook Lane, Williston, VT 05495 or Essex Rescue, 1 Educational Drive, Essex Junction, VT 05452.
