Conald Trahan

Conald Trahan of Essex Jct., Vermont and Grandview Texas passed away on January 24, 2015 at the age of 93. Conald was born on December 27, 1921 to Lea (Boudreau) and Phiippe J. Trahan in Highgate Center, Vermont, the second oldest of five children all of whom preceded him in death. He married his wife Lucy on May 5, 1947 in St. Louis Church in Highgate Center. Lucy preceded him in death on February 13, 2012 after 64 years of marriage. Conald had been employed in the shoe industry for over sixty years, beginning his career with Gladstone Shoes in St. Albans and Burlington beginning in 1950 and ending with Danform Shoes in Shelburne in 2011. Conald had been a resident of Grandview Nursing and Rehab Center since December of 2012 after suffering a stroke. He is survived by his daughter Marie Annette Greenia and husband Larry of Grandview, TX; three grandchildren, Suzanne Greenia of Burleson , TX; Mark Greenia of Pearl City, HI: and Brian Greenia of Granbury, TX; four great grandchildren; Katelin, Joshua, Nicholas, and Christopher, several nieces and nephews and many friends who will miss him greatly. As per Conald’s wishes there will be no public visiting hours held. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday February 12, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Lawrence Church with Reverend Charles Ranges, S.S.E. officiating. A reception at the church will immediately follow. Inurnment will follow at 2:30 in the family lot in St. Louis Cemetery, Highgate Center.
