Donald Rollin Armstrong 84 of Enosburg passed away Monday December 23, 2019 at home with his wife by his side. Donald was the son of the late Rollin and Ruth (Chambers) Armstrong. He was born on August 20th, 1935 in West Berkshire on the family farm. Donald left school in the 8th grade as his father passed away. He worked the family farm to provide for his Mom and Sister Ellen and her twin brother Edward. After the family farm was sold, Donald went to work for several farmers in Franklin and Grand Isle counties. He served proudly 8 years with the VT National Guard. He met the love of his life Sandra Erno. They married on March 14th, 1959. A love that lasted over 60 years. Donald leaves behind his wife of 60 years Sandra (Erno) Armstrong of Enosburg. His 3 daughters Anna-Marie Kane of Enosburg, Valentina Gladu and her Husband David of St. Albans, Kimberly Ives and her husband David Paquet of Bedford, Quebec. He also leaves behind his Grandchildren Renata Hayes and her husband Traver, Lucas Kane and his wife Rebecca, Renee Kane and her fianceé Kristy Bohannon, Nicholas Kane, Christopher Gladu, Jesse Ives, Justin Ives, Jayla Ives and her fiancé Ian Pilon and Jenna Ives. He also leaves behind 16 Great Grandchildren. He was predeceased by his parents Rollin Armstrong, Ruth (Chambers) Armstrong, his Sister Ellen Armstrong and his son in law David Kane. Service will be held Saturday March 14th, 2020 at 11 am at Church of the Rock Fairfax Road St. Albans. Per Donald's wishes he would like those who attend the service to bring a dish and have a meal with the family following the service.
