Douglas R. McClellan Sr. Richmond Douglas R. McClellan, Sr. passed away with family by his side, at Fletcher Allen on March 22, 2012 after a very long and courageous battle with Vascular Disease. Doug was born June 17, 1942, son of the late Artie and Doris (Bolio) McClellan. Graduated from Jericho High. He worked hard all of his life- the latest, Belden Wire, where he worked for 22 years- leaving work in 2003 due to his disabilities. He loved deer hunting with his Dad, Uncles, brothers and cousins. They had great times in the hills of Underhill... did not matter if they got deer- they enjoyed the hunting and each other. On March 12, 1965, Doug married Estelle (Chamberlain) McClellan. Together they had four children. Doug is survived by his wife, Estelle- their children Betty and partner Claude, Stacey and partner Sean, Douglas and wife Kim, six grandchildren - Mark, Kyle, Alexis, Emilee, Anya, Isabelle- the pride and joy of their PaPa's life. His sister, Margaret and husband Donald; brothers Peter and his wife Yvonne; John and wife Dawna; Lee and wife Arlene and their families. Aunt Barbara Bernard was a favorite aunt- always remembering his birthday, Father's Day, and all holidays. Doug was also predeceased by his daughter Shari, brother, Francis, father and mother-in-law, Fred and Elizabeth Chamberlain. Husband, Dad, PaPa, brother- he will be greatly missed. He had a great sense of humor, trying to trick the grandchildren. His pugs, Baxter and Daisy will miss him terribly. There will be no calling hours. A celebration of Doug's life will be held at a later date at the convenience of his family.
