Earl G. Putnam, Jr. Williston Earl Grant Putnam, Jr., 79, passed away on Tuesday October 12, 2010 at the Vermont Respite House in Williston. He was born on June 22, 1931 in Sheldon, VT son of the late Earl and Glenna (Clapper) Putnam Sr. Earl had worked as a “Milker” for local dairy farms. He was proud to have served in the United States Army for 10 years and was a veteran of the Korean War. Earl will be greatly missed by all those who knew and loved him. He is survived by his: His loving wife Esther (Adams) Putnam of Williston; His son Earl “Skip” Putnam and wife Karen of St. Albans; Two daughters Robin Putnam and companion Tracey Haycraft of TX; Candy Clair and husband Charlie of Enosburg Falls. Three step-daughters: Debbie McNeil of CT; Denise Zetterstrom and husband Vic of Williston; Donna McNeil of CT; Three sisters Betty Putnam of WI; Elaine Putnam of MA; Joan Sweet of Sheldon; Seven grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren with another expected in December, several cousins, nieces, nephews, many friends and his favorite pet “Benji”. There will be no visiting hours or funeral services held. Inurnment will be private and at the convenience of the family.
