Elizabeth L. “Betty” (Mallin) Hutchinson Williston, VT/Tucson, AZ Elizabeth L. “Betty (Mallin) Hutchinson passed away May 27, 2011 in Tucson, Ariz. She was born March 1, 1926 in Larchmont, NY daughter of the late William J. and Hazle Mallin. Betty graduated from Mamaroneck High School and the Traphagen School of Art. She worked as an executive secretary for many years and retired from the Lake Champlain Bridge Commission. She and Howard moved from Williston to Tucson, AZ in 1994. Betty enjoyed being a member and past president of Welcome Wagon, reading, gardening and working out at the "Y." She adored all the dogs and cats that she had over her lifetime, most recently Buzz and Josie. She is survived by her daughter Leslie Frydenlund and her husband Robert of West Swanton, VT; her grand-daughters Cheryl Underwood and her husband Keith of Harwinton, Conn.; Elizabeth Ellison and her husband Lloyd of Fairfax, VT; her five great-grandchildren Caitlin, Tyler, Leah, Keira and Hayden; her sister Conny Pernod and her husband Richard of Brewster, NY; and several nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by her husband Howard on Feb. 6, 2010, and her brother William J. Mallin Jr. The family would like to extend a special "thank you" to Valor Hospice Care, all her supportive friends at the "Y", her wonderful neighbors and Adair Funeral Homes-Avalon Chapel in Tucson where Betty's service was held on June 1, 2011. A graveside committal service with inurnment will be on August 20, 2011 at 11:00 am in the family lot in Worcester Cemetery in Worcester, VT. Donations in Betty's memory may be made to the Franklin County Humane Society, 30 Sunset Meadows, St. Albans, VT 05478. Vermont arrangements are by John D. Workman, A. W.
