Emily M. McGovern Cambridge Emily Pearl (Manning) McGovern, 84 passed away on Thursday December 6, 2012 at Berlin Health and Rehab in Berlin. She was born on May 4, 1928 in Stowe, VT daughter of the late Morton and Winnifred (Hurlburt) Manning. Emily was a graduate of BFA Fairfax class of 1946. She had been employed as a bookkeeper with McGovern Feed and Hardware for many years. She married Patrick Francis McGovern in 1951 who predeceased her on April 12, 1986. Emily was also predeceased by her three brothers Wendell, Everett and Philip and her two sisters Thelma Martin and Gertrude Root. She is survived by several nieces and nephews. Per Emily’s wishes no visiting hours will be held. A graveside committal service will be held in the family lot in Mt. View Cemetery, Cambridge on Tuesday, December 11, 2012 at 1:00 p.m. with Reverend Elizabeth Griffin offering committal prayers.
