Frederick N. Edgerly St. George Frederick Nicholas Edgerly, 87, formerly of Underhill, passed away on Tuesday December 10, 2013 at Vermont Respite House in Williston. He was born on December 20, 1925 in Craftsbury, son of the late Guy and Hazel (Alger) Edgerly. Fred was proud of his American Indian Heritage. He was respected for his skill and talent as a finish carpenter having provided fine craftsmanship to many over the years. Fred was an ordained Minister of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses for over 50 years. In addition to working in carpentry and ministry Fred also spent time working as a farmer as well as logging. He looked forward to his favorite things in his spare time. He loved camping, fishing, hotdogs, walking in the woods and observing wildlife. Most of all he cherished the moments spent with his grandchildren and great grandchildren. Fred will be missed by all those who truly knew and loved him. He is survived by his three children Gweneth “Muffet” Largena and her husband Eric of Crossville, TN; Gregory “Nick” Edgerly and his wife Jane of Milton, VT; Gail Olberg and her husband Ralph of Hanover, VA four grandchildren: Jaythan Largena; Joy Carroll and her husband David all of Crossville, TN; Shane Edgerly and his wife Sonja of Fairfield, VT; Nicole Edgerly of Milton, VT; four great grandchildren: Daulton Largena of Crossville, TN; Olivia, Jocelyn and Nathanael Edgerly of Fairfield, VT; his sister; several nieces and nephews; extended family, close friends, associates and his cat “Neffy” a precious and dedicated companion. Fred was also predeceased by his wife Gwendolyn D. (Willey) Edgerly, who he missed for many years. Per Fred’s wishes there will be no public visiting hours held. All are invited to attend his memorial service on Saturday December 28, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 82 Rte 7 - Saint Albans Road, Swanton, VT 05488. Memorial contributions in Fred’s memory may be made to the Vermont Respite House, 99 Allen Brook Lane, Williston, VT 05495.
