Gerald F. “Jerry” Minor Fairfax/West Palm Beach FL Gerald Francis “Jerry” Minor, 82 passed away on Sunday November 25, 2012 in West Palm Beach, FL. He was born in Fairfax, VT on December 19, 1929 son of the late Arthur and Evon (Hoben) Minor. Jerry proudly served his country as a member of the US Army. Jerry had also been a member of The Friendly Senior Citizens of Fairfax, a lifetime member of VFW Post 758, American Legion St. Albans, and honorary member of Florida Sheriffs Association. Jerry had owned and operated “Jerry’s Barber Shop” for 20 years in West Arlington, MA. Upon moving back to Fairfax in the late 70’s he opened “Minors Antique Shop” on Main Street until 1995, traded and collected antique cars and looked forward to attending car shows. His Excalibur car was his pride and joy and a treat to drive. During his retirement years he worked in real estate development and enjoyed relaxing times fishing and playing shuffle board. He is survived by his wife Marilyn (Greenwood) Minor of Fairfax/West Palm Beach, FL; a step daughter Deanne Beaver and husband Arden Beaver of North Palm Beach, FL; three brothers; Shirley Minor and wife Madeline of Westford; Lee Minor and wife Louise of Fairfax; David Minor and wife Janet of St. Albans; his sister-in-law Margaret Minor of Fletcher; several nieces, nephews and cousins. Jerry is also predeceased by his first wife Agnes (Abdoo) Minor whom he was married to from September 4, 1954 until she passed away August 7, 1995, two brothers Carlton Minor; Wallace Minor, his sister Ilene Drinkwine, his sister Harriet Wells of Underhill, and his favorite nephews Alan Minor, Mike (Richard) Bacon, and favorite niece Annette Minor Tefft. Visiting hours will be held from 5:00 – 8:00 pm on Sunday December 2, 2012 with Father Feltz offering a prayer service at 5:00 p.m. at A. W. Rich Funeral Home – Fairfax Chapel, 1176 Main Street, Fairfax, VT 05454. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday December 3, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Luke Church with Reverend John G. Feltz and Revered Soosai Raj concelebrating. Burial will follow in the family lot in the St. Lukes Cemetery where full military honors will be accorded.
