Greta Boozan

Greta A. (King) Friedrich Boozan Jeffersonville Vermont Greta Arlene (King) Friedrich Boozan, 90, passed away on Friday October 17, 2014 at Copley Hospital in Morrisville. She was born in Cambridge on August 18, 1924 daughter of the late Harry and Velma (Fullington) King. Greta was a homemaker all her life. She raised her family with so much love. She was a loving wife and mother and she will be greatly missed. Her special gift of music was always present. Her home was filled with piano playing and singing daily. As a young girl she sang with the Kentucky Ramblers and The Bronco Busters band. She was privileged to sing on the old Ticonderoga boat which is now displayed at the Shelburne Museum. She was a communicant of The Second Congregational Church in Jeffersonville, VT where she played the piano and organ and sang for over 40 years. She loved this church so very much. Her children were all blessed to be given CD’s of her music over the years. She is survived by her 3 sons: Gary Friedrich and wife Susan of Jeffersonville,Vt; Stephen Friedrich and wife Sheri of Sarasota, FL; Robert Friedrich and wife Jill of Chazy NY; two daughters: Barbara Matott and husband Clifford of Chazy, NY; Jean Garceau of Champlain, NY; A niece Sandy Neely, her husband Donald and their family of Jeffersonville, Vt; and three stepsons, Bruce, Paul and Dean many friends including two special friends Alfred “Pete” Chouinard of Hyde Park and Carol Locke of Jeffersonville; fourteen grandchildren; sixteen great grandchildren and 4 great-great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband Clifford John Friedrich, her son Edward Friedrich I and her brother Archie King, her second husband Richard Boozan. Per Greta’s wishes there will be no visiting hours. A memorial service will be held on Tuesday October 21, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at the Second Congregational Church in Jeffersonville with Reverend Mick Comstock officiating. Inurnment will follow in the family lot in Jeffersonville Village Cemetery. Memorial contributions in Greta’s memory may be made to Second Congregational Church, P.O.
