Hilda M. (Bergeron) Griffin South Burlington Hilda Margaret (Bergeron) Griffin, 76 passed away on Monday November, 18, 2013 at Vermont Respite House in Williston. She was born on November 5, 1937 in Burlington daughter of the late Gerald and Hazel (Reynolds) Bergeron. She graduated from Burlington High School Class of 1958. Hilda married Earl Griffin on June 14, 1958 in Burlington and made their home together in Essex where they raised their five children. She had been employed with IBM for many years. Hilda loved visiting with her family and friends, Bingo, car rides, going out for lunch and watching game shows. She always held a special place in her heart for all the animals she had throughout the years. Hilda was a loving and caring wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and aunt whom will be missed by all those who had the true pleasure of knowing and loving her. She is survived by her loving husband of 55 years Earl Griffin; four sons: Stanley and wife Gigi; William, Wayne and wife Nora; John, her daughter Vanessa St. Amour and her husband Joseph; two brothers Richard Bergeron; Donald Bergeron; seven sisters Mary Gordon; Linda Wright; Theresa Aube; Sharon Therrien; Florence Wilhelm; Rose Lane; Barbara Gile; 9 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren, many nieces, nephews and cousins. She was also predeceased by her brother James Bergeron and sister Sandra Bergeron. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff of the VNA Home Health and Hospice for the loving care and attention they afforded Mom during her stay. Visiting hours will be held on Friday November 22, 2013 from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. at A. W. Rich Funeral Home – Essex Chapel, 57 Main St. Essex Jct. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday November 23, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. at Holy Family Church, Essex Jct., with Reverend Charles Ranges, S.S.E officiating.
